Terms of Service

Overview

Million Pixel Plot sells clickable rectangles on a public pixel wall. By using the site, submitting a claim, buying pixels, uploading content, or linking a destination, you agree to these terms.

Plot Claims

A plot claim means the selected rectangle is assigned to your submitted image, copy, and destination link on the Million Pixel Plot wall. The project is intended to remain online indefinitely and we currently plan to keep the wall available for the long run. Because websites depend on hosting providers, payment processors, domain systems, internet infrastructure, security conditions, and other third parties, the enforceable service guarantee for each paid claim is a minimum five-year placement term beginning when the claim is activated.

After the minimum five-year service guarantee, we may continue operating and displaying claims for as long as we reasonably maintain the project. Continued operation after the guaranteed term does not create a promise that the site, any link, any third-party service, or any buyer-owned destination will remain available without interruption forever.

Account Email

The email address used at checkout becomes the email associated with the owner account for that plot. Purchase confirmations, magic-link sign-in, owner tools, invoices, moderation notices, and plot-management access may be sent to that email address.

Content Rules

Buyers may upload claim content after purchase, but claims remain subject to review and ongoing moderation. We may reject, hide, disable, remove, edit, or request changes to claims that include illegal content, malware, deceptive links, phishing, impersonation, spam, harassment, hate speech, threats, self-harm, harm to others, overt nudity, gore, explicit sex acts, infringement, privacy violations, or anything that creates legal, security, payment, reputation, operational, or platform risk.

Swearing, rough language, edgy art, and links to adult-oriented destinations may be allowed when lawful and contextually appropriate, but the visible wall image itself cannot be overtly sexual, graphically violent, hateful, predatory, exploitative, or outside basic public-facing decency standards.

Removal and Loss of Claim

We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to remove, hide, suspend, disable, or relinquish a plot claim if the owner violates these terms, repeatedly submits rejected content, creates legal or operational risk, abuses the service, attempts to bypass moderation, disputes or reverses payment without resolution, or otherwise uses the plot in a way we believe harms the wall, its users, its operators, or its service providers.

If a plot is removed or ownership is relinquished because of rule violations, abuse, fraud, chargeback activity, illegal content, unsafe links, or other misconduct, refunds are not owed. We may choose to issue a refund, partial refund, credit, or other accommodation in special circumstances, but doing so is voluntary and does not create a general refund right or future obligation.

Payments and Refunds

Payments are processed by Stripe. Standard public pricing is based on one dollar per pixel, while private discounts, coupons, manual deals, internal placements, or promotional arrangements may be handled privately. Public wall totals may represent allocated wall value, not necessarily cash collected. Taxes, chargebacks, failed payments, refunds, and payment disputes may affect claim activation or continued ownership.

Sales are generally final once a claim is purchased and reserved. Refunds are not guaranteed. If we decide to offer a refund, credit, correction, or courtesy resolution, that decision is case-by-case and does not waive these terms.

Promotions and Giveaways

We may run promotions connected to the wall, including the planned center-block giveaway. Unless official promotion rules say otherwise, each separate eligible plot claim counts as one entry, and plot size does not multiply entries. For example, one 10 x 10 plot is one plot entry, while one hundred separate 1 x 1 plots may count as one hundred plot entries.

Promotion details, eligibility, timing, drawing process, prize transfer, tax responsibility, alternate entry methods, disqualification rules, and geographic restrictions will be governed by the official promotion rules posted for that promotion. Promotions are void where prohibited and may be modified, paused, or cancelled if required for legal, operational, platform, or fraud prevention reasons.

Links and Availability

Claim owners are responsible for keeping destination links accurate, lawful, and safe. We may disable dead, unsafe, abusive, misleading, or high-risk links. We may make reasonable maintenance changes to improve performance, security, accessibility, moderation, checkout, analytics, or mobile usability.
